They say a bad workman blames his tools. In this case the bad workman had only himself to blame because he picked the wrong tool to use.
Mr H works in a food factory. A colleague needed to move a large quantity of meat which he did using an electric lifter. Unfortunately this particular piece of equipment wasn’t designed to move large quantities around. It was only really for getting items off racking.
As the colleague was driving the lifter through the factory it over heated and cut out coming to an abrupt halt. Mr H was walking near the machine when it suddenly stopped and as result it struck his head on it.
We have put his claim to his employers. They have admitted the accident was their fault because they are responsible for the negligent actions of the colleague. Mr H will now receive the compensation he is entitled to.
