Andrew Marsden

Litigation Executive

Based at our Batley office Andrew is one of the longest serving lawyers at the firm having been with Brearleys for over 28 years now, he has been working as a paralegal since 1989. He is a senior member of the litigation team specialising in personal injury work, as well as general litigation matters, and has been involved in many high-value and high-profile claims over the years. Andrew has developed a wide base of experience as a mediator, helping to resolve many types of case from landlord and tenant disputes, to commercial contract disagreements, through to inheritance cases.

Andrew is an active member of, and was for many years the chairman of the Batley Business Association, involved in developing and putting on events in the town, such as Batley vintage day.

Outside of work Andrew is a keen football fan, and lifetime supporter of Middlesbrough. He can also be found treading the boards with various local amateur dramatics groups, and over recent years has begun to fancy himself as something of a masterchef in the kitchen – having fun trying out new recipes, and cooking techniques. Often enjoyed with a glass of real ale.
