Watch out!

Last night I received a text message from my insurance company.  They have my car insurance and it said "save this number into your phone so that in the event of an accident you can call it straight away"

I deleted it

It turns out that lots of my staff and clients received the same text message.  What most of them didn't realise is that it is just another insurance company trick to fool them (and you and me) into instructing them to handle your personal injury claim.

They would like you to believe that you have to use their appointed solicitor and that what's more, they are the best ones to choose.

It is just plain wrong.

Firstly you do have a choice and can choose whichever solicitor you wish ; without it costing you anything

Secondly we have often found it to be the case that the appointed solicitor is paying the insurance company hundreds of pounds to deal with your case.  To put it another way, they are buying your case in.

You should ask yourself the question as to whether a decent firm that does a good job would need to buy in cases

So delete that number they sent
