Vibration White Fingerfrozen pond

This is a common disease affecting the fingers and hands usually.  It is named because of the characteristic whitening of the fingers and hands when they are squeezed.  They remain white because the blood does not flow back as quickly as would be expected.  VWF is a disease which affects the blood vessels and circulatory system.  There is no cure.

Anyone who has worked in an environment where they have been exposed to vibration for continued periods is at risk from this disabling condition.  Employers are required to minimise or remove vibration and to ensure that their employees take regular breaks.  This is often achieved by work type rotation.

Most people are diagnosed by their doctor, but if you are concerned by stiffness and pain in your joints, and these appear to be accompanied by the characteristic 'blanching' then contact your doctor and call us for more advice.

We can run a claim for compensation against whoever is responsible and it will not cost you a penny.
