Can your insurer honestly say the same?  They will instruct solicitors (often by selling on your case) who rely upon them for more work.  They will demand that cases are handled according to their criteria - not yours.  Bear in mind that the insurer will also be used to having to pay out in cases as well - will they be so keen to achieve the maximum amount for you?
