We are accredited by the Legal Services Commission to provide legal assistance that is paid for by the Government in a variety of ways and under a number of different schemes.  This is commonly known as and called 'Legal Aid'

We were one of the first firms to achieve the required standard with the then Legal Aid Board in the mid 1990's and since then we are proud of our track record of passing annual stringent audits on an ongoing basis.

Link to LSC home pageAs a 'legal aid' provider we will inform you if the type of work we are contemplating is potentially covered under the umbrella of the legal aid scheme, and if so whether you qualify financially.  The work we can do under this scheme includes but is not limited to family work, debt and wills.  Other types of work are often covered too.

Usually we will have to assess your means - that is to say we will have to work out your income and expenditure as often you have to be within set limits regarding your finances.

We are here to advise you throughout and to ensure that if it is possible to use the scheme we do so.
