Brighouse Gala 2010

Brearleys Solicitors attended the Brighouse Gala 2010 taking a stall as alwaysand taking the opportunity to meet the people of Brighouse.

The sun was out and this meant that there was an excellent turnout of many thousands of people wanting to take in the sights and personalities of Brighouse in the sunshine

We had a stall in connection with the Laura Crane trust which is a local charity providing help and support for young people battling cancer. We believe that this is a very worthy local charity. Laura Crane was a local girl who unfortunately lost her battle with cancer at age 17

Our stall focused on two main attractions. The first was a lucky dip for the children which proved to be extremely popular and which had sold out by approximately halfway through the afternoon

The second attraction involved a prize draw. The prize was a quality Pentax 10 megapixel camera and this proved to be a great success. We sold many raffle tickets and are able to confirm that the lucky winner Samantha collected her prize on Monday, 28 June with pink ticket number 11drawn by a member of the Brighouse ladies rugby team at the end of the Gala Day in the main arena

We were particularly pleased because Samantha is a police community support officer and we felt it particularly appropriate given the aims of this firm to support the community in the towns where we are situated

We would like to take this opportunity to thank everybody who showed their support to the Laura Crane trust by entering the prize draw and the lucky dip. We raised £300 for the Laura Crane trust. Every penny that we took over the counter went straight to the trust.
