Deafness

Being hard of hearing is a real disability, and because people can't see anything wrong, it is difficult for people to understand how disabling it actually is.  Deafness can be caused by all sorts of things which include -

- noise at work

- noise outside work eg shooting

- age

- ear infections

- disease

Inner EarOnly in one of the above instances will you be able to claim compensation.  It is important to identify the causes at an early stage and this can only be done by a specialist such as ourselves.

Early action is usually important so as to not fall foul of LIMITATION (for more information about this click here).  We have to prove upon your behalf that you were exposed to too much noise and repeatedly to such an extent that your employer ought to have realised it could cause you deafness.  We have to prove that they took inadequate precautions to prevent you deafness and did not provide you with proper safety equipment.  It may be that we can prove that thought equipment was available the use of it was not encouraged.

We are very experienced in dealing with industrial deafness and have links with a number of experts who are able to reconstruct the amount of noise you were exposed to whilst at work and therefore to work out whether your employer is liable for your deafness.  We work extremely quickly and have a very high success rate in this type of claim despite their complexity.

It will not cost you a penny to claim and there is no risk to you.
