At Brearleys we have created a scheme called BusinessAssist which is designed to provide businesses, large or small, with easy access to expert cost effective advice when faced with commercial disputes which traditionally can be very costly, both from a legal representation and a cashflow point of view.

The scheme operates whereby an annual fee is paid, depending upon the size of the company/firm which then entitles the owners and employees of the company/firm as well as their immediate families to have access to the following benefits, most of which are commercial dispute focussed but also some of which that are not:-

No win no fee representation (subject to case approval)

Where a case is to be dealt with on a no win no fee basis full insurance cover is available, from an established insurance company to protect against paying opponent’s costs if the case is unsuccessful and any fees that have been paid out to run your case known as disbursements.

If the commercial/contractual dispute has a value of less than £5,000.00 access to legal support to enable you to take your case to a Small Claims Court trial for a fixed fee of £200.00 plus VAT which includes drafting of the initial Claim Form, and Particulars of Claim court documents.

Access to a reputable national firm of consulting engineers who can provide a risk assessment over view of a company/firm’s premises/working practices for a heavily discounted fixed fee.

A 24 hour free phone line that has no limits with regard to the number of calls that can be made for initial legal advice on any area of law that the firm specialises in.   Upon joining the scheme an attractive plastic card will be provided to all employees of the company with the free phone number on it.

A 10% discount on all of Brearleys legal services excluding the commercial services which are outlined above.

We believe that the above services offered are an attractive additional benefit for all company/firm owners and their employees and that these can be available for a fairly nominal fee.

We will not give any advice or take any action in connection with any matters that would involve us in any claims against the company/firm.
