Batley Bulldogs Networking Meeting

The snow (in April!!) didn’t put off the delegates from enjoying the monthly Bulldogs networking meeting this morning at the club’s Mount Pleasant ground, for another fun get together.

This regular meeting is more relaxed than more traditional networking events and brings together people from business, community and sport, to share ideas and initiatives, and to build working relationships. All topped off with one of the best bacon butties around.

Each month the meeting has a guest speaker from a different area. Speakers so far have included our local MP Jo Cox and Andrew Marsden of our Batley office. This morning we were treated to a talk on volunteering in the community by Sharron Wilkinson from http://volunteeringkirklees.org.uk/ about volunteering opportunities and the benefits they can bring to local communities.

The meetings take place on the last Friday of each month from 08:00 until 09:00 at the clubs ground Heritage Rd, Batley, WF17 7NZ. Anybody is welcome and you can just turn up on the day. The cost is £5 per person which includes breakfast.
