The Children and Adoption Act 2002 recently came into force and changed adoption proceedings.  Generally speaking it is step parents who apply to adopt but there are also other options available to you and we are able to provide you with advice upon all the options, providing you with details of the costs consequences of each option and the advantages or disadvantages of the same.  Once we have provided you with the advice it is your decision as to which way you opt for us to proceed.
